The Year of Disaster in Limburg - the Sun King visits Maastricht. In 1673, the most famous military event of the Year of Disaster in Limburg takes place: the siege of Maastricht. King Louis XIV decided to attack Maastricht after previously targeting the territories of Liège as well. Why was he so interested in Maastricht? In addition, what were the consequences for the city and the province? Join us for an afternoon guided tour by curator Joes Minis. He will explain the above-mentioned events through this unique exhibition.
