Located at Centre Céramique, Maastricht Museum places a high value on the careful handling of personal data. Maastricht Museum is part of the Municipality of Maastricht and is careful in its processing and securing of personal data.

Maastricht Museum Privacy Policy

In principle, Maastricht Museum only processes personal data because you use our services and/or because you have provided it to us yourself. In some cases, we work with other service providers and/or suppliers during this process.

  • for ordering and paying for items and tickets through our website
  • to enable the use of all the features and services on the website

  • for potential participation in competitions and other activities

Maastricht Museum will only supply the information provided to third parties if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or for the fulfilment of an agreement entered into with you. If we wish to share your data with third parties in other cases, we will request your prior consent for this. 


We use analytical cookies from Google Analytics to anonymously analyse the use of our website. Our processing agreement with Google stipulates that this data will not be shared with other parties.  

Security and storage

Maastricht Museum takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorised access and other unwanted activities involving personal data. In accordance with the applicable municipal security norms as set out in the Netherlands Municipalities Baseline Information Security document (BIG), these measures are included in our information security policy. 
We do not store data longer than necessary. In other words, we keep the data for as long as needed to provide the requested service. Exceptions include data that we must keep for a longer period of time because the law requires this.

This statement does not apply to third-party websites that are connected to our website through links.

Your rights
